PVP-K30 has a good surfactant performance to be used as emulsion stabilizer of cream and lotion, which can effectively maintain the foam stability of shampoo and bath products. At the same time PVP-K30 can be taken part in cosmetic film forming agents, thickeners, stabilizers, dispersants, and surfactants for washing products.
The water-soluble polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone, also known as polyvidone or povidone, is created from the monomer N-vinylpyrrolidone. Relying on the desired application properties, PVP is offered in a variety of molecular weights and associated viscosities. PVP is a linear polymer that consists of 1-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone monomers and appears like a faintly yellow solid. It is used in the formulation of a wide range of product types including mascara, eyeliner, hair conditioners, hair sprays, shampoos and other haircare products and it majorly works as a film former, emulsion stabilizer, and hair fixative.
Cosmetic Grade PVP(PVP K30) products are existing as powder and water solution form,and being supplied in a wide molecular weight range, easily dissolve in water, alcohol and other organic solvents, highly hygroscopicity, excellent film-forming capacity, adhesiveness and chemical stability, none toxicity.
