Titanium Dioxide Anatase Grade

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) exists in three crystal structures—namely, rutile, brookite, and anatase. it describes rutile tetragonal single crystals. Rutile is easily reduced, and the crystal can have some oxygen vacancies or titanium interstitials. It is noted that because the structure cannot be treated as a slightly perturbed cubic crystal, there are pronounced polarization effects. There are very few reports of optical constants for single-crystal TiO2 in the ultraviolet above 20 eV. Meriakri and Ushatkin measured refractive index n at 1030 μm at an unspecified room temperature. The technique involved the use of a millimeter wave source, whose frequency could be varied periodically over a short range, and a Michelson interferometer in which the path length could be varied. A beating fringe pattern was obtained from which an average n could be obtained. Parker measured the susceptibility of oriented rutile in a capacitor at low frequency and determined dc values at 300 K.

Application recommendation: coating, ink, papermaking, plastics, rubber, chemical fiber, and etc.
