Degassing Agent KC9700
High efficiency degassing agent KC9700 is a modified micronized wax that achieves excellent results in coatings on porous substrates, it can replace BYK961 defoamer ,reducing the surface tension of the coating and effectively preventing foaming and pinholes in porous substrates.
1)Typical Properties:
Reduce surface tension;
Eliminate pinholes and air bubbles;
Workpiece: zinc-coated alumina, iron, alumina alloy; Be equal to BYK961.
2)Recommended Use
KC9700 is used in powder coatings based on acrylic acid, polyester/epoxy-polyester/HAA and polyester/TGIC.
3)Recommended Levels
0.3-2% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation when extruding with all formulation components.
The above-recommended levels can be used for orientation.
Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Notes: More dosage for better effect. Haze phenomenon would be formed for excess dosage.
4)Incorporation and Processing Instructions
The product should be mixed with the resin, hardener, pigments, and other additives using a high-speed mixer and extruded along with all components.
